Air Products had to replace one of its old cross flow cooling towers. Floor space was given and so was the capacity which was higher than the required capacity of the old cooling tower.

YWCT designed a counter flow cooling tower which assured a higher capacity for the available floor space. The replacement itself, in order to reduce implications on production,

was planned as a military operation: In the D day one of YWCT teams started dismantling the existing cooling tower into several parts which were carried away by tracks to an authorized dumpster.

These tracks came back to positioned the four parts of the tower in place. Three YWCT’s teams started working around the clock on the piping work, electricity and the tower itself to complete the operation in less than 24 hours from beginning to end.
