In order to meet its high quality standards, Mekorot, Israel National Water Co, had to find a solution which will reduce Trihalomethanes level in three of its resorvoirs. YWCT offered Mekorot a volatile organic content removal system (i.e. a degasifier) to solve the problem. Local regulation forced the system to be limited by height (4 m) and due to local conditions the solution in some of the sites had to be gravitational. YWCT designed six systems (200-300m3/hr each) complying with international drinking water standards and meeting the limitations on sites. The solution included, design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
