Case Studies
Mobileye
Our company was requested to design, manufacture, and supply new cooling towers for Mobileye, with the purpose of increasing the building’s cooling capacity and supporting both the HVAC systems and the expansion of the data center operations.
In response to the customer’s requirements, we supplied a modular counter-flow cooling towers, made of pultruded fiberglass, installed on an integrated FRP basin. The new cooling tower array included two different cooling tower models, divided into 20 independent cells, replacing nine existing cooling towers. he new cooling towers were custom-designed to fit the existing roof footprint and maximize the available space, while taking into account airflow recirculation, water-piping locations and connections, tower height limitations, and all technical requirements specified by Mobileye
One of the main challenges of the project was carrying out the replacement while the building remained fully operational, without affecting the continuous operation of the essential air-conditioning and cooling systems. This required a carefully staged and accurate plan for dismantling, lifting, assembly, and connection to the existing systems, together with close coordination with the contractor and the site operations teams. The project also included modifications and replacement of part of the hot-water and cold-water piping, performed by the contractor according to the configuration of the new towers and the increased cooling capacity requirements.
In order to minimize on-site work duration and reduce the impact on the building’s ongoing activity, the cooling towers were pre-assembled at our facility in Ashkelon, dismantled into modules suitable for transportation and lifting, and then reassembled on site under our company’s supervision
