The Austrian branch of Siemens was awarded a contract to build Alon Tavor 70 MW power plant. YWCT was chosen to design and build the auxiliary cooling tower required for this project. One of our modular FRPP models was selected for the job. The cooling tower, made of pultruded FRP, was built in our premises, tested by Siemens QA team and sent to the job site in modules which were assembled in five days of work. In order to save space, the cooling tower was positioned over an elevated basin under which the pumps and water treatment systems were installed. The entire design of the cooling tower was made in light of the extremely strict noise requirements of the customer. The revolving system was designed to turn slowly, equipped with ultra quiet fans to meet these requirements.
